The community foundation submits evidence of donor education. Such evidence could include samples of invitations to events where donors have the opportunity to learn about the foundation, such as an annual meeting, seminars, fundraisers, etc. The foundation also submits evidence of donor participation. Examples might include guest lists from educational events, a printout of an electronic calendar showing meetings with donors, and letters from donors responding to educational events.

The community foundation submits evidence of relevant materials demonstrating how community issues are identified and how objectives are set to address those issues. The foundation also submits evidence of how the foundation identifies opportunities to act as a leader and convener.
Tab 35: Assessment of Grantmaking and Community Leadership
The community foundation submits a process for assessment of—or examples of—the impact of grantmaking. To the extent the community foundation is involved in community leadership, the foundation should submit examples of how the foundation is tracking progress or evaluating impact.
