A Spring 2010 Knight Neighborhood Challenge grant enabled a local artist, Dwayne Bass, to create an agility course, furniture and sculpture for Tyler's Place Dog Park.
Since the additions to the park, there has been a increase in the number of dogs at the dog park as well as an increase in dog walking and outdoor activities for pets in the Corridor. Look at how much fun the dogs are having!

The Pittsburgh Foundation and Bricolage Production Company invite you to join us for our storytelling series, Tell Me Pittsburgh. Through personal stories, we hope to encourage understanding and social change. Our first event was Hard to Love: Stories of Struggle in Pittsburgh, on April 26. You can watch the video from this event on Pittsburgh on Video.
It's a magical evening each year when the lights go on in front of Midland's courthouse and, for many children and adults, the holidays begin! Santa arrives each year in late November or early December, and stays until after his working hours on December 23. The lawn displays and lights continue through New Year's Day. The tradition began in the 1930s when Mrs. Herbert H. Dow made sure that small trees decorated with many tiny lights were placed around the Midland County Courthouse each Christmas season. According to those who remember, it was truly a lovely sight.
