Elizabeth Schultheiss is Vice President of Fund Administration and Development at the Battle Creek Community Foundation, where she provides senior leadership for fund administration, grantmaking, scholarships, and philanthropic services. She leads an impact-focused, trust-based approach to grantmaking and oversees more than 1,000 charitable funds, ensuring regulatory compliance, donor intent, and operational excellence across all programmatic activities. Through a donor-centered lens, Elizabeth guides development strategy, supports complex philanthropic partnerships, and contributes to organizational policy and advocacy efforts aligned with board priorities.

Elizabeth joined the Foundation in 2016, initially leading regional initiatives and health partnerships, including oversight of the Regional Health Alliance and strategic collaborations to address community health disparities. She later served as Director of Fund Development and Donor Relations before assuming her current executive role. Prior to joining Battle Creek Community Foundation, Elizabeth served as Executive Director of the Albion Community Foundation, where she led all aspects of foundation operations, governance, fundraising, and community leadership.

With nearly two decades of executive-level experience in the community foundation field, Elizabeth brings deep expertise in nonprofit governance, fund management, and philanthropic strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University, as well as a Master of Arts from Michigan State University, and has a long history of civic and nonprofit board service.
